Patty Hearst
is one of the best examples i know of people with stockholm syndrome. she was a socialite way back in 1974, then she got kidnapped. later on, as she managed to be set free, she joined SLA, the faction that abducted her. although, playing with the definition of stockholm syndrome a little bit, i believe what patty hearst experienced was not a romantic relationship with the people in the faction - instead she fell in love with what they were fighting for.
i just wanted to post this because the photo's too cool. saw it in krist novoselic's (nirvana bassist) blog hahaha.
