el scorcho and the new semester

hi, hello. i have been taking a break from everything. and while resting from responsibility, i had the chance to watch the whole indiana jones saga all over again. it's amazing how things always turn out for him in the end. i mean, there always has to be some kind of divine intervention to save his ass from damnation. the funny thing is, heroes are the luckiest people on earth. "epal" villains, on the other hand, (for example, the !soldiers! of a !general!), are the easiest ones to kill. it seemed to me as if it doesn't matter what they do to the heroes - but it matters what the heroes do to them. that's just unfair. but then again, it's indiana jones. i have one question though - if he and his father drank from the holy grail, why is it that they did not acquire eternal life?

i also got to watch 2/3 of the red curtain tragedies by baz luhrmann. that guy's just amazing. i know it would be unfair to make this analogy since i have no experience in this department of extreme living, but i'd have to say, luhrmann's movies are directed like rollercoasters. they're fast paced and you're always anticipating the next eye-candy. which is actually fun to watch because he's weird and experimental in his own right, which makes baz luhrmann films baz luhrmann.

i didn't sleep last night waiting for enlistment. i watched breakfast club and back to the future 2, and the scrubs finale. scrubs finale emphasized very much the rule that if you know how to start something, you have to know how to end it. bill lawrence did such an amazing job, and so did the whole cast. the blanks singing "i'm no superman" plus the behind the scenes footages were very sentimental. it was an ace finale. although i'm kind of disappointed because brendan fraiser's character didn't show up, his was one of my favorite supporting roles.
